About

True pet care goes far beyond food, potty breaks, and safe enclosures. It's about creating a nurturing, enriching environment where every pet feels loved, seen, engaged, and truly at home.

The Idea

Candace Brock graduated from Clemson University with her degree in Animal Science. After graduation, Candace worked as a Veterinarian Tech at many Veterinarian clinics across North Carolina. Back in the early 2000's, pet boarding was primarily limited to Veterinarian offices. Candace observed that when dogs were boarded, their care often consisted of just a couple of quick potty breaks, a bowl of kibble, and confinement to a small kennel. This is when she came up with the idea for a luxury resort for pets.

Building FPPR

In 2004, Candace with the help of her husband, Billy, began building Five Points Pet Resort in Raeford. Their mission was to build a resort for pets, not a kennel. At the resort, pets would be able to go on walks, play with friends, get cuddle times, and receive individualized care and attention.
